Why third-party monitoring?
Third-party monitoring is mandatory in Germany for renovation work on load-bearing components.
The renovation of load-bearing components such as supporting pillars of bridges and underground car parks is a topic with a high level of responsibility and individual approaches. External monitoring not only serves to ensure the safety and quality assurance of the work, but is also the client's representative on the construction site. The third-party supervisor checks the implementation of the concrete repair work, assesses the damage to opened components during the renovation and makes decisions on how to deal with individual damage to the reinforcing steel. The external monitoring evaluates, documents and tries to define any additional measures that the renovation company should not and is generally not allowed to take.

The company ATS monitors the renovation of over 30 projects per year and is, among other things, a third-party monitor for renovation work on bridge structures belonging to DB AG.
